Relieve Pain. Regain Your Life

What Is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is a therapeutic modality for tissue inflammation, sensitive nerve tissue, scar tissue formation, tissue adhesion, and deficiency of blood and lymphatic circulation. The insertion of the needle results in a physical and biochemical stimuli by stretching and breaking up the soft tissue.

Dry needling creates both local and systemic effects by restoring the tissue homeostasis and reduces the stress in the area. The restoration of tissue homeostasis allows for biological self-healing and self-repair.

WHY WOULD I NEED DRY NEEDLING?

Simply put, your time and money. Dry needling has shown to cut down on the overall time in therapy. Some therapists have been able to cut down their patient's total number of treatment sessions by about 15% and have had some patients only receive 2-3 visits with complete resolution of pain.

Now, dry needling alone is not enough. Following treatment, it is recommended that corrective exercise is performed to retrain the treated areas how to function properly.
